About

The Geneva Trade Platform is honoured to invite you to join us, in person and online, for remarks by New Zealand Minister for Trade and Export Growth, the Hon Damien O’Connor. The Minister will present his vision on Bringing ‘Trade for All’ to the WTO before joining our own Prof. Richard Baldwin for a discussion and Q&A with the audience.

New Zealand has consistently brought energy, innovation and drive to the multilateral trading system. In 2019, New Zealand undertook a comprehensive review of its entire approach to trade policy, refocusing it around better supporting sustainable and inclusive economic development. This ‘Trade for All’ approach has informed New Zealand trade policy since then, and the Minister will be joining us in part to share the lessons and insights gained from experiences from APEC to Geneva.

We are thrilled to partner with the New Zealand Permanent Mission to the World Trade Organization to present these important remarks. This event represents the fourth in our “In Conversation with Richard Baldwin” series, and follows remarks by French Finance Minister Le Maire, European Union Executive Vice President Dombrovskis and United States Trade Representative Tai. We hope you can join us.
