In-person Event

On 18 March from 15:30, join the World Bank’s Global Director for Trade, Investment and Competitiveness, Dr. Mona Haddad, for a talk at the Graduate Institute on trade and investment policy for Emerging Markets and Developing Economies (EMDEs).

EMDEs have historically relied on international trade and investment for growth, job creation, and poverty reduction. However, they now face a rapidly shifting global landscape marked by overlapping shocks and a proliferation of national and regional policies affecting trade and investment in unprecedented ways.

This talk will discuss recent World Bank analytical work that explores the implications of this policy fragmentation for EMDEs and assesses their response.
